VINS Has Something for Everyone

Live Bird Programs

An unforgettable experience, VINS live raptor programs feature a selection of our resident Avian Ambassadors. Educational and fun, these presentations will connect you to the masters of the sky while you learn about their amazing adaptations and the critical role they play in our environment.

Raptor Enclosures

Get up close to eagles, falcons, owls and more! More than 40 raptors call the VINS Nature Center home. These avian predators have sustained injuries and conditions that prevent them from ever living in the wild again.

Songbird Aviary

This walk-through, 2,160 square-foot exhibit provides a more extensive space for our non-releasable songbird residents. Come enjoy an intimate experience as you watch birds move about in this naturally landscaped exhibit.

The Forest Canopy Walk

Designed so people of all levels of ability can enjoy it, this new ADA-accessible feature, offers every generation a new perspective and way to experience the beauty of the landscape.

Forest Exhibit

Featuring a model tree with a 7-foot diameter that reaches 16-feet high to the ceiling, as well as several trees from the surrounding woods, VINS has created an immersive experience highlighting the sights, sounds, and even smells of a natural forest

Adventure Playscape

At the Adventure Playscape, we’ve used natural wood and stone to create a place for kids with elements that will build confidence, agility, teamwork and use of the imagination.

Birds Are Dinosaurs Exhibit

Are dinosaurs still alive today? Dig into the amazing story of how birds evolved from dinosaurs. Through skeletons, life-sized replicas, and hands-on activities you will discover the adaptations acquired through 250 million years to make birds what they are today.

Reptile Room

See our reptile ambassadors up close and learn about the adaptations of these beautiful creatures to their habitats in the eastern United States. Our Wood Turtle, Eastern Box Turtle, and Corn Snakes are waiting to meet you in this warm space.
